Leaf Trade supports an integration with seed-to-sale provider Canix for wholesale cannabis cultivators and processors.

*If you have not added the Canix integration to your Leaf Trade subscription yet, or would like to learn more, please email support@leaftrade.com.

What Does the Integration Support?

The integration allows users to easily import Canix strains, products, pre-pack (count-based), and weight-based inventory directly into their product catalog in Leaf Trade.

At this time, the integration does not send order data back to Canix when orders are completed which means that you’ll need to update orders and inventory in Canix before starting a Canix import in Leaf Trade.

How Do I Configure the Integration?

First, click into the Integration section of the left-hand navigation and select Canix.

Click on the + Add API Key button in the upper right to add your Canix API Key

After you submit your API Key, navigate back up to the upper right hand corner and select + Add Facility ID.

You will need to choose a Leaf Trade Stock Location and Canix facility. Select the Canix Facility where your sellable inventory lives, then select Submit Facility.

To begin, select Activate within the Canix Configuration table, and then the Start Import button should appear in the upper right hand corner. You will see the table update likely in a Fetching status as we check the inventory associated with that facility. Select Check Status when the status is Detected to Review your data.

On your first import, you'll need to map any new strains and products into your Leaf Trade account. You can import Strains and Products, and then later add marketing content from the Strains and Products page.

On the Products screen, you need to add a Leaf Trade Category to the product. If the category in Canix matches in Leaf Trade this mapping happens automatically. You can optionally map a product to an existing Leaf Trade product and can add a default case size or default price for variants of the product.

Then, verify the new Pre-pack variants are mapped to the correct Products. We try our best to fill in data from the Canix Package and Item. However, you can modify this information after finishing the import by returning to the Batches or Inventory/Pricing pages.

Next, verify the new Weight-Based variants are mapped to the correct Products. After finishing the import weight-based variants will still need a variant template applied or variant package sizes added.

On each subsequent import, you’ll only need to add any new strains, products, pre-pack, and weight-based variants.

After going through these steps, you will be directed back to the Import History page and can Review Changes from there if you'd like.

How Does Canix Need to be Configured?

For inventory to be imported from Canix, the attributes in Canix must meet the requirements below.

  • Facility must be active

  • Packages must be in the Available to Sell status
